Take Action! is a free, flexible, 10-week employee wellness program that encourages fruit and vegetable consumption and regular physical activity among employees while fostering teamwork and boosting morale. The program was developed and is sponsored by the California State Department of Health Services. The success of Take Action! is based on a nationwide employee physical activity program developed at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and promoted by the National Coalition for Promoting Physical Activity. The program has been pilot tested at over 30 organizations nationwide.
