School districts are invited to apply now to join an exciting partnership with Action for Healthy Kids to expand and enhance their school breakfast programs during the 2010-2011 school year. The deadline is May 26.
Through this innovative program, Action for Healthy Kids and local school districts, with the support of Kellogg’s Corporate Citizenship Fund, will address the epidemic of overweight – but undernourished – children by expanding breakfast and promoting wellness in more than 90 schools nationwide. Action for Healthy Kids will provide management, expertise, even manpower to make positive changes for kids, schools and communities. In addition, funding will be available to implement Game On! The Ultimate Wellness Challenge and Students Taking Charge to engage teachers, students and families in helping schools become healthier places.
