MYFOXNY.COM – Mayor Joanne Cocchiola of Nutley, N.J., has introduced a township-wide weight loss program called the Mayor’s Weight Loss Challenge, in collaboration with Mountainside Hospital.
The program is structured as a competition between the Township (employees and residents) and Nutley Board of Education (staff and faculty of the BOE and all schools).
The 12-week program began January 26 with the last official weigh-in scheduled for April 20. Prizes will be awarded to both the individual and team who lose the highest percentage of body weight at the end of the 12 weeks.
